About

Bio
I’m a hardware engineer working at Verily Life Sciences (formerly Google Life Sciences), an Alphabet company, in the San Francisco Bay Area. I specialize in understanding the sensing technology landscape and leveraging this technology for new and exciting products. My professional interests include sensors, mechatronics, system characterization, device integration and data analysis with Python, and failure analysis.

I initially started out validating and designing inertial/pressure MEMS sensors. After gaining a good understanding of how to productize the naturally failure prone MEMS sensors, I transitioned to my current role. Now I evaluate different sensor technologies and different sensors for health care applications. My current role involves demonstrating novel POC using a sensor and then transitioning POC to reliable, scalable and repeatable system-wide performance over variable physiological and ambient conditions.

I started this website as a medium to share my widespread interests and my methods of exploring them. This website also serves as personal motivation to follow through on the various projects I’m interested in. I hope that others, even if only a few, will either benefit or also find interest in the topics, projects, and photographs presented on this website.

Personal Bio
I was raised in Vancouver, Canada, and moved to California to pursue a Bachelors of Science in Engineering Physics with a minor in Electrical Engineering at Stanford University. Afterwards, I graduated with a Masters of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering with a specialization in Micro-Electro Mechanical Systems (MEMS).

I enjoy windsurfing, backcountry skiing, surfing, biking and ultimate frisbee. Other activities I enjoy are hiking, camping, playing board games, and watching sports (hockey and college/professional football).
